What is Khetipoint?

Khetipoint serves as a connection point between farmers, agriculture experts, and agriculture retailers. This innovative product offers both advisory services and a hyperlocal marketplace, enabling farmers to compare and purchase agri-inputs at the most competitive prices available.

Problem Statement

The problem at hand is that the current agricultural market lacks transparency and accessibility, causing farmers to spend a considerable amount of time, money, and effort to find the best prices for their needed products. This leads to more than 90% of farmers buying products at inflated prices, with a significant lack of proper guidance from agriculture experts. Additionally, retailers have limited customer reach and often heavily sell products on credit, further exacerbating the financial burdens on farmers. The disparity in pricing between retailers and distributors in specific regions also creates confusion and frustration for farmers. Thus, there is a need for a comprehensive solution that addresses these challenges and provides farmers with greater transparency, accessibility, and guidance in purchasing agricultural products.

Responsibility

Solely responsible for understanding product specifications, user requirement and user needs. Conducted research using various methods like user interviews and workshops. Based on the insight I gathered I developed persona, information architecture, and low and high fidelity prototype of the platform. I also conducted usability testing in order to ensure that the product met the user needs and expectations. Throughout the design and development I collaborated with cross functional team including product, tech, and stakeholders.

It's important to ensure that users can easily understand the designs and functionality of an app. In this case, the users were able to comprehend the app, but upon receiving their feedback, we took a step back and modified some features that were found to be difficult to understand. This shows a dedication to creating a user-friendly experience and a willingness to listen to and respond to user needs.
